Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Unit Root Tests in Three-Regime SETAR Models. [PDF]
This paper proposes a simple testing procedure to distinguish a unit root process from a globally stationary three-regime self-exciting threshold autoregressive process.

Coding Theory: the unit-derived methodology
The unit-derived method in coding theory is shown to be a unique optimal scheme for constructing and analysing codes. In many cases efficient and practical decoding methods are produced.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

We define and study the invariance properties of homological units. Some applications are given to the derived invariance of Hodge numbers. In particular, we prove that if X and Y are derived equivalent smooth projective varieties of dimension 4 having the same Picard number, then they have the same Hodge numbers.

The union of unit balls has quadratic complexity, even if they all contain the origin [PDF]
We provide a lower bound construction showing that the union of unit balls in three-dimensional space has quadratic complexity, even if they all contain the origin.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Modern requirements for new police units’ leaders in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam communes
Improving police organizational structure in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam communes is a strategically important task that requires focused and serious implementation. This process proposes new units creation and new supervisors appointment.

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.
