Wafer‐Scale Synthesis of Topological Insulator Sb2Te3 Thin Films

This work demonstrates how the topologically protected conduction in Sb2Te3 thin films can be extended from few‐mm2 samples’ area up to larger areas of several cm2 Si(111) wafers. New Perspectives on Semiconducting Conjugated Oligomers for Neuromodulation in Hydra vulgaris

Semiconducting organic compounds, thiophene‐based, modify the rhythmic electrical activity of the cnidarian Hydra vulgaris acting on specific neuronal circuits. The ETE‐S trimer also forms electronically conducting wires in the living tissues of the animal.

A Flexible‐Substrate 5‐µm‐Diameter Needle Electrode: Minimizing Neuronal Death and Enabling Year‐Long Neural Recording

An electrophysiological recording technology that uses a 5‐µm‐diameter microneedle electrode device is presented. Due to the remarkable small dimension of the microneedle, the electrode provides minimal invasive neural recording in a mouse brain and enables long‐term recording exceeding the year‐long duration.

Tailoring the Solid Electrolyte Interphase Composition on Lithium Metal Anodes by the Choice of Ionic Liquid during Mechanochemical Modification

Roll‐pressing lithium foil in contact with ionic liquids is used to produce modified lithium anodes. The differences in performance, composition, and evolution upon cycling of the anodes depending on the ionic liquid used are highlighted, when used in combination with a classical Li‐ion electrolyte.
