Group rings with solvable 𝑛-Engel unit groups [PDF]
Let K G KG be the group ring of a group G G over a field of characteristic p ⩾ 0 , p ≠ 2 , 3 p \geqslant 0,\;p \ne 2,\;3 . Suppose G G contains no element of order p p (if

Extrinsic calibration for motion estimation using unit quaternions and particle filtering [PDF]
This paper presents a method for calibration of the extrinsic parameters of a sensor system that combines a camera with an inertial measurement unit (IMU) to estimate the pendulum motion of a crane payload.

When unit groups of continuous inverse algebras are regular Lie groups [PDF]
It is a basic fact in infinite-dimensional Lie theory that the unit group G(A) of a continuous inverse algebra A is a Lie group. We describe criteria ensuring that the Lie group G(A) is regular in Milnor's sense.

Integral Group Rings with Nilpotent Unit Groups [PDF]
Let R be a ring with unit element and G a finite group. We denote by RG the group ring of the group G over R and by U(RG) the group of units of this group ring. The study of the nilpotency of U(RG) has been the subject of several papers.

Units in group rings of crystallographic groups [PDF]
Summary: \textit{Z. S. Marciniak} and \textit{S. K. Seghal} [Lect. Notes Pure Appl. Math. 198, 185-198 (1998; Zbl 0944.16029)] initiated a technique of using affine representations to study the groups of units of integral group rings of crystallographic groups. We use this approach for some special classes of crystallographic groups.

Group Identities on Units of Group Algebras
Let \(U\) be the group of units of the group algebra \(FG\), where \(G\) is a group and \(F\) is a field. This paper is concerned with determining when \(U\) satisfies a group identity. If \(G\) is torsion, then this question was settled in recent years, thereby yielding an affirmative solution to Hartley's problem.

Groups of Units of Modular Group Algebras [PDF]
Let U ( G ) U(G) be the group of normalized units of the group algebra F [ G ] F[G] of a finite nonabelian p p -group G G over the field F = G F (

Hypercentral Unit Groups and the Hyperbolicity of a Modular Group Algebra [PDF]
We classify groups G such that the unit group 𝒰 1(ℤ G) is hypercentral. In the second part, we classify groups G whose modular group algebra has hyperbolic unit groups 𝒰 1(KG).

Archimedean unital groups with finite unit intervals
Let G be a unital group with a finite unit interval E, let n be the number of atoms in E, and let κ be the number of extreme points of the state space Ω(G).

Groups of Negations on the Unit Square
The main results are about the groups of the negations on the unit square, which is considered as a bilattice. It is proven that all the automorphisms on it form a group; the set, containing the monotonic isomorphisms and the strict negations of the ...
