Cointegration without Unit Roots [PDF]
It has been known since Elliott (1998) that standard methods of inference on cointegrating relationships break down entirely when autoregressive roots are near but not exactly equal to unity. We consider this problem within the framework of a structural VAR, arguing this it is as much a problem of identification failure as it is of inference.

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair
miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.

An Improved Panel Unit Root Test Using GLS-Detrending [PDF]
We propose to combine recent developments in univariate and multivariate unit root testing in order to construct a more powerful panel unit root test.

High-Dimensional Forecasting in the Presence of Unit Roots and Cointegration [PDF]
We investigate how the possible presence of unit roots and cointegration affects forecasting with Big Data. As most macroeoconomic time series are very persistent and may contain unit roots, a proper handling of unit roots and cointegration is of paramount importance for macroeconomic forecasting. The high-dimensional nature of Big Data complicates the

Unit roots of the unit root $L$-functions of Kloosterman family [PDF]
As a consequence of Wan's theorem about Dwork's conjecture, the unit root $L$-functions of the $n$-dimensional Kloosterman family are $p$-adic meromorphic. By studying the symmetric power $L$-functions associated to the Kloosterman family, we prove that for each $0\le j\le n$, the unit root $L$-function coming from slope $j$ has a unique unit root ...

In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

It is well known that inference on the cointegrating relations in a vector autoregression (CVAR) is difficult in the presence of a near unit root. The test for a given cointegration vector can have rejection probabilities under the null, which vary from ...

A comparative study of circulating tumor cell isolation and enumeration technologies in lung cancer
Lung cancer cells were spiked into donor blood to evaluate the recovery rates of the following circulating tumor cell (CTC) enrichment technologies: CellMag™, EasySep™, RosetteSep™, Parsortix® PR1, and Parsortix® Prototype systems. Each method's advantages and disadvantages are described.

Portuguese Tourism Demand: A Dynamic Panel Data Analysis
This article considers the determinants of Portuguese tourism demand for the period 2004-2013. The econometric methodology uses a panel unit root test and the dynamic panel data (GMM-system estimator). The different techniques of panel unit root (Levin,

Unit Root Test With One Endogenous Structural Break Evidence from Indonesian Time Series Data
This paper examines the robustness of the ADF (Augmented Dickey-Fuller) unit root test to the presence of one structural break. The ADF test results show one variables out of six to be stationary. To check their robustness, two separate additive outlier (
