Characterizations of Stability of Error Bounds for Convex Inequality Constraint Systems

open access: yesOpen Journal of Mathematical Optimization, 2022
In this paper, we mainly study error bounds for a single convex inequality and semi-infinite convex constraint systems, and give characterizations of stability of error bounds via directional derivatives. For a single convex inequality, it is proved that

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Structural insights into lacto‐N‐biose I recognition by a family 32 carbohydrate‐binding module from Bifidobacterium bifidum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

Emergent behaviors of Lohe Hermitian sphere particles under time-delayed interactions

open access: yesNetworks and Heterogeneous Media, 2021
We study emergent behaviors of the Lohe Hermitian sphere(LHS) model with a time-delay for a homogeneous and heterogeneous ensemble. The LHS model is a complex counterpart of the Lohe sphere(LS) aggregation model on the unit sphere in Euclidean space, and

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.

Characterization of Clifford Torus in Three-Spheres

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We characterize spheres and the tori, the product of the two plane circles immersed in the three-dimensional unit sphere, which are associated with the Laplace operator and the Gauss map defined by the elliptic linear Weingarten metric defined on closed ...

Peptide‐based ligand antagonists block a Vibrio cholerae adhesin

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The structure of a peptide‐binding domain of the Vibrio cholerae adhesin FrhA was solved by X‐ray crystallography, revealing how the inhibitory peptide AGYTD binds tightly at its Ca2+‐coordinated pocket. Structure‐guided design incorporating D‐amino acids enhanced binding affinity, providing a foundation for developing anti‐adhesion therapeutics ...

A Note on Minimal Hypersurfaces of an Odd Dimensional Sphere

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We obtain the Wang-type integral inequalities for compact minimal hypersurfaces in the unit sphere S 2 n + 1 with Sasakian structure and use these inequalities to find two characterizations of minimal Clifford hypersurfaces in the unit sphere

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Legendre curves in the unit spherical bundle over the unit sphere and evolutes

open access: yes, 2015
In order to consider singular curves in the unit sphere, we consider Legendre curves in the unit spherical bundle over the unit sphere. By using a moving frame, we de(cid:12)ne the curvature of Legendre curves in the unit spherical bundle.
