Some unit square integrals [PDF]

open access: yesThe Ramanujan Journal, 2016
In this article we prove some identities which allow us to evaluate some multiple unit square integrals. In our examples we will give the value of some double and triple integrals. Then, we prove several classical integral formulas with the help of these identities and we present others that seems to be new.

A Survey of Spatial Unit Roots

open access: yesMathematics
This paper conducts a brief survey of spatial unit roots within the context of spatial econometrics. We summarize important concepts and assumptions in this area and study the parameter space of the spatial autoregressive coefficient, which leads to the ...

Spurious Regression

open access: yesJournal of Probability and Statistics, 2009
The spurious regression phenomenon in least squares occurs for a wide range of data generating processes, such as driftless unit roots, unit roots with drift, long memory, trend and broken-trend stationarity.

3,8-Dimethyl-4-oxo-3,4-dihydroquinazoline-6-carbonitrile

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2012
In the title compound, C11H9N3O, the quinazoline unit is almost planar, with a mean deviation of 0.006 (1) Å from the least-squares plane defined by the ten constituent atoms.

Online Circle and Sphere Packing

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we consider the Online Bin Packing Problem in three variants: Circles in Squares, Circles in Isosceles Right Triangles, and Spheres in Cubes.

(1E,3E,5E,7E)-4,4′-(Octa-1,3,5,7-tetraene-1,8-diyl)dipyridine

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2010
The title compound, C18H16N2, crystallizes with one and a half independent molecules in the asymmetric unit, with the half-molecule being completed by crystallographic inversion symmetry. Both independent molecules are almost planar, with the non-H atoms

TRANSLATIVE PACKING TWO SQUARES IN THE UNIT SQUARE

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2003
For a given square \(S\) and a sequence \((S_n)\) of squares in the plane, we say that \((S_n)\) can be translatively packed in \(S\) if there exist translations \(\tau_i\) such that the translates \(\tau_i S_i\) \((i= 1,\dots, n)\) have pairwise disjoint interiors and are subsets of \(S\).

The density of critical percolation clusters touching the boundaries of strips and squares [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We consider the density of two-dimensional critical percolation clusters, constrained to touch one or both boundaries, in infinite strips, half-infinite strips, and squares, as well as several related quantities for the infinite strip.

Unit exponentiated Weibull model with applications

open access: yesScientific African
Developing new effective statistical distributions tailored to model data on the unit interval is essential in modern data analysis. In this article, we propose a novel distribution on the unit interval, termed the unit exponentiated Weibull distribution,

3,5-Bis[(pyridin-4-yl)methoxy]benzoic acid

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2013
Single crystals of the title compound, C19H16N2O4, were obtained under hydrothermal conditions by an unintended recrystallization of the employed microcrystalline starting material.
