An Approach to Classical Quantum Field Theory Based on the Geometry of Locally Conformally Flat Space‐Time

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
This paper gives an introduction to certain classical physical theories described in the context of locally Minkowskian causal structures (LMCSs). For simplicity of exposition we consider LMCSs which have locally Euclidean topology (i.e., are manifolds) and hence are Möbius structures.

Open String Renormalization Group Flow as a Field Theory

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 72, Issue 11, November 2024.
Abstract This article shows that the integral flow‐lines of the RG‐flow of open string theory can be interpreted as the solitons of a Hořova–Lifshitz sigma‐model of open membranes. The authors argue that the effective background description of this model implies the g‐theorem of open string theory.

Self‐Adjoint Extension and Spectral Theory of a Linear Relation in a Hilbert Space

open access: yesInternational Scholarly Research Notices, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
The aim of this paper is to develop the conditions for a symmetric relation in a Hilbert space ℋ to have self‐adjoint extensions in terms of defect indices and discuss some spectral theory of such linear relation.

Some Aspects of Unitary Addition Cayley Graph of Gaussian Integers Modulo n

open access: yesMATEMATIKA, 2016
In this paper, the Unitary addition Cayley graph defined by Sinha et al. is extended to the ring of Gaussian integers modulo n. Some graph theoretic properties of unitary addition Cayley graphs of gaussian integers modulo n are discussed here.

Genuinely nonabelian partial difference sets

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Designs, Volume 32, Issue 7, Page 351-370, July 2024.
Abstract Strongly regular graphs (SRGs) provide a fertile area of exploration in algebraic combinatorics, integrating techniques in graph theory, linear algebra, group theory, finite fields, finite geometry, and number theory. Of particular interest are those SRGs with a large automorphism group.

Bounds on the Distance Energy and the Distance Estrada Index of Strongly Quotient Graphs

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
The notion of strongly quotient graph (SQG) was introduced by Adiga et al. (2007). In this paper, we obtain some better results for the distance energy and the distance Estrada index of any connected strongly quotient graph (CSQG) as well as some relations between the distance Estrada index and the distance energy.

Valuations, completions, and hyperbolic actions of metabelian groups

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 109, Issue 6, June 2024.
Abstract Actions on hyperbolic metric spaces are an important tool for studying groups, and so it is natural, but difficult, to attempt to classify all such actions of a fixed group. In this paper, we build strong connections between hyperbolic geometry and commutative algebra in order to classify the cobounded hyperbolic actions of numerous metabelian

Generalized resolvents and spectrum for a certain class of perturbed symmetric operators

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2005, Issue 1, Page 81-92, 2005., 2005
The generalized resolvents for a certain class of perturbed symmetric operators with equal and finite deficiency indices are investigated. Using the Weinstein‐Aronszajn formula, we give a classification of the spectrum.

A note on quantum subgroups of free quantum groups

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique
In this short note, quantum subgroups in finite free products of the Pontryagin duals of free unitary quantum groups are classified. They correspond to pairs of a subgroup $\Gamma $ and a subset $S$ of the free group $\mathbb{F}_n$ such that $S$ is ...
