Realization of Spin‐locked Acoustic Helical Landau Levels in both Hexagonal and Square Lattices
Acoustic helical Landau levels rooted in quantum spin Hall systems are achieved by linearly increasing the local bandgap through the lifting of the double Dirac cone in acoustic crystals. Large‐area conveyance of acoustic energy facilitated by these helical Landau levels is demonstrated.

A General Approach to Dropout in Quantum Neural Networks
Randomly dropping artificial neurons and all their connections in the training phase reduces overfitting issues in classical neural networks, thus improving performances on previously unseen data. The authors introduce different dropout strategies applied to quantum neural networks, learning models based on parametrized quantum circuits.

Benefits of Open Quantum Systems for Quantum Machine Learning
Quantum machine learning (QML), poised to transform data processing, faces challenges from environmental noise and dissipation. While traditional efforts seek to combat these hindrances, this perspective proposes harnessing them for potential advantages. Surprisingly, under certain conditions, noise and dissipation can benefit QML.

Artificial Intelligences: A Bridge Toward Diverse Intelligence and Humanity's Future
Many discussions of artificial intelligence fail to address deeper questions being raised by advances in developmental biology, neuroscience, bioengineering, and philosophy of mind. Novel beings, including technologically and biologically augmented humans, engineered life forms, hybrots, and others, require tools of the emerging field of diverse ...

Procesi’s Conjecture on the Formanek-Weingarten Function is False
In this paper, we disprove a recent monotonicity conjecture of C. Procesi on the generating function for monotone walks on the symmetric group, an object which is equivalent to the Weingarten function of the unitary group.
