Ancilla-free certification of unitary quantum processes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
We study efficient quantum certification algorithms for unitary quantum process using no ancilla. Previous study showed that one can distinguish whether an unknown unitary $U$ is equal to or $\varepsilon$-far from a known or unknown unitary $V$ in fixed dimension with $O(\varepsilon^{-2})$ uses of the unitary, in which the Choi state is used and thus a

Crossover of phase qubit dynamics in presence of negative-result weak measurement

open access: yes, 2006
Coherent dynamics of a superconducting phase qubit is considered in the presence of both unitary evolution due to microwave driving and continuous non-unitary collapse due to negative-result measurement.

Vector coherent state representations, induced representations, and geometric quantization: I. Scalar coherent state representations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Coherent state theory is shown to reproduce three categories of representations of the spectrum generating algebra for an algebraic model: (i) classical realizations which are the starting point for geometric quantization; (ii) induced unitary ...

Local Unitary Equivalence of Multipartite Pure States [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2010
Necessary and sufficient conditions for the equivalence of arbitrary n-qubit pure quantum states under Local Unitary (LU) operations are derived. First, an easily computable standard form for multipartite states is introduced. Two generic states are shown to be LU-equivalent iff their standard forms coincide. The LU-equivalence problem for non--generic

Epileptiform Activity and Seizure Risk Follow Long‐Term Non‐Linear Attractor Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study leverages the HAVOK framework to model long‐term, nonlinear attractor dynamics underlying epileptiform activity and seizure risk in epilepsy patients. By identifying key forcing mechanisms driving chaotic transitions, the findings improve seizure risk forecasting over multi‐day cycles and provide a pathway for personalized, data‐driven ...

A Note on State Decomposition Independent Local Invariants

open access: yes, 2013
We derive a set of invariants under local unitary transformations for arbitrary dimensional quantum systems. These invariants are given by hyperdeterminants and independent from the detailed pure state decompositions of a given quantum state.

Quantum Thermalization Dynamics of Fermi Gases Quenched to the BEC‐BCS Crossover

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study, reporting the first experimental realization of interaction quench far faster than the Fermi timescale in fermionic many‐body systems, explores real‐time quantum thermalization dynamics in the BEC‐BCS crossover. It observes prethermal states with distinct lifetimes after quantum quench, uncovers universal prethermal scaling, and observes ...

Spatial distribution features and geological settings of the largest gold deposits

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Геология и разведка, 2015
The paper considers the problem of distribution and tectonic setting of the largest gold deposits in folded and folded-blocked belts of different types and ages. We present a generalized scheme showing a distribution of 14 giant deposits (with the amount

Performance Rate Analysis in Photovoltaic Solar Plants by Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Thermal imaging and deep learning are combined to detect faults in photovoltaic panels inspected by autonomous vehicles. A robust pipeline classifies panel defects from aerial thermograms using a convolutional neural network, supporting both real‐time and offline analysis.
