Encoding of long-term associations through neural unitization in the human medial temporal lobe
In this work, the authors recorded single neurons and field potentials from the human medial temporal lobe (MTL) and show indistinguishable responses to associated stimuli.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The finding that familiarity can support associative memory by unitizing the to-be-learned items into a novel representation has been widely accepted, but its effects on overall performance of associative memory and recollection are still controversial ...

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

The missing link? Testing a schema account of unitization [PDF]
Unitization refers to the creation of a new unit from previously distinct items. The concept of unitization has been used to explain how novel pairings between items can be remembered without requiring recollection, by virtue of new, item-like ...

Principles of Unitization [PDF]
In 1920, H. L. Doherty proposed the term unitization for the cooperative operation of an oil pool as though it were owned and operated by one party. The main methods of unitization are: (1) voluntary, (2) cooperative with divided interests, (3) complete ...

Algèbre de Sobolev et structure m-convexe
We examine the structure of a class of Sobolev spaces. We also show that the unitization of a locally uniformly A-convex algebra is not, in general, of the same type.

A primary goal of research on associative recognition has been to identify the conditions that facilitate the formation of unitized representations of stimuli to be remembered, thereby enhancing familiarity-based associative recognition in recent years ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.
