Some Characteristics of Universal Cell Nets

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1973
In this paper, one-output n-input combinatorial nondegenerate networks of cells are analyzed. The networks consist of one-output two-input cells that are universal in that they realize all 16 functions of the two-input variables. Such networks have a number of interesting properties, among which is the fact that if network N realizes F(x), it also ...

Evolutionary-Derived Anatomical Characteristics and Universal Attractiveness

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1999
Hominid fossils illustrate how modern humans have evolved anatomically. Included in the fossils are traits no longer phenotypically prevalent in humans (primitive) and phenotypic traits that have become increasingly prevalent (derived). In this study, published paleontological information about the anatomical evolution of humans was used to create ...

Universal superelasticity characteristic for polymer systems

Journal of Engineering Physics, 1973
The superelastic strain is represented in universal form as a function of the product shear rate times maximum relaxation time in the relaxation spectrum for a polymer system. A relation is established between the superelastic strain and the relaxation spectrum as well as the change of the latter due to the shear rate.
