Programmable Current-Conveyor-Based Voltage-Mode Filter with Single Input and Five Outputs
A new universal voltage-mode active-filter with single input and five outputs is presented. The parameters of the proposed filter are programmable and the filter uses grounded capacitors and resistors.

Why we should use high values for the smoothing parameter of the Hodrick-Prescott filter [PDF]
The HP filter is the most popular filter for extracting the trend and cycle components from an observed time series. Many researchers consider the smoothing parameter lambda = 1600 as something like an universal constant.

Gender: A Filter of Information among University Students?
This study test hypotheses inserted in the psycho-socio-communicational paradigm which long term cognitive effects of the media and the role of the recipient as a subject with his own psychological and socio-cultural characteristics. It is the hypotheses of “agenda-setting”. The aim is to analyze the role played by such characteristics and, especially,

A mechanically tunable hydrogel composed of gelatin, chondroitin sulfate and laminin promotes angiogenesis in vitro without the supplement of growth factors. Endothelial cells morphogenesis was further enhanced by medium conditioned with bioactive glass 58S‐released ions (Ca and Si), thus offering a promising strategy to vascularize 3D tissue ...

From Waste to Value: Conversion of Calcium Sulfate to Vaterite via Carbon Capture and Storage
This study introduces a new concept for carbon management that relies on the carbonation of industrial gypsum waste and yields phase‐pure vaterite at ambient conditions without any additives. The obtained vaterite is further shown to be a reactive material that develops compressive strength in aqueous suspensions like conventional cements.

Viscoelasticity‐driven instabilities are harnessed to create tunable, periodic textures in 3D‐printed liquid crystalline polymers. This study illustrates how processing parameters control these spontaneous meso‐scale patterns. These unique structural architectures unlock new possibilities for functional devices, ranging from photonic components to ...

Universal Current-Conveyor-Based Current-Mode Filter with Single Input and Five Outputs
A new universal active current-mode filter with single input and five outputs is presented. The proposed filter avoids the use of external feedback in any part of the circuit and uses grounded resistors.

The Effect of Purcell Cavities on the Lifetime of Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescent Emitters
A pressing challenge to OLED displays and lighting is to balance high efficiency and long operational lifetime in the deep blue spectrum. The Purcell effect can reduce the triplet density and hence the probability for destructive energy‐driven triplet annihilation events that limit the OLED lifetime. Here we study of the Purcell effect on two different
