Universal Pettis Integrability

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1985
Since the invention of the Pettis integral over forty years ago [11], the problem of recognizing the Pettis integrability of a function against an individual measure has been much studied [5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 20]. More recently, Riddle-Saab-Uhl [14] and Riddle-Saab [13] have considered the problem of when a function is integrable against every Radon measure

The integrative university

Perspectives: Policy and Practice in Higher Education, 2008
In his magisterial survey The Higher Education System Burton Clark (1983: 136) reflects on the idea of integration as a means of understanding how universities, and university systems, work.

Integration of University-Enterprise in Applied Universities

2019
Because higher education in China attaches more importance to theory rather than to practice, there is a gap between academic research and technical practice. With transformation and development of universities, to cultivate a large number of technical talents who can make scientific and technological achievements into practice, an educating strategy ...

Universal integrated PIN photodetector

Proceedings of the 30th European Solid-State Circuits Conference (IEEE Cat. No.04EX850), 2004
The universal PIN photodetector being realisable in CMOS and BiCMOS technology consists of a common cathode and finger anodes embedded in an intrinsic environment, for fast photogenerated-charge-carrier drift. This finger-anode structure, with rise times below 1 ns, and high responsivity in a wavelength range from 400 nm to 850 nm, permits applications:

The Bipolar Universal Integral

2012
The concept of universal integral, recently proposed, generalizes the Choquet, Shilkret and Sugeno integrals. Those integrals admit a bipolar formulation, useful in those situations where the underlying scale is bipolar. In this paper we propose the bipolar universal integral generalizing the Choquet, Shilkret and Sugeno bipolar integrals.

Universal, Digital Tristimulus Integrator*

Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1957
An electronic digital tristimulus integrator with interchangeable punched-tape programs corresponding to different illuminants or receptors has been constructed as an accessory for the General Electric Recording Spectrophotometer. The selected-ordinate principle is used. At least one-hundred ordinates are used for the Y integrations.

Copula-based universal integrals

2013 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ-IEEE), 2013
A hierarchical family of copula-based integrals is introduced and discussed. When considering the product copula, a family of decomposition integrals independently introduced by Even and Lehrer, and by Mesiar and Stupnanova, is recovered. Boundary members are distinguished universal integrals introduced by Klement at al. in 2010.

University, Integrity and Responsibility

2019
In this chapter I will explore the idea of the integrity of Higher Education. This is not integrity in the narrow sense of academic integrity, that is, honesty and responsibility in scholarship and research; though this, of course, is connected. I will focus on a wider sense of integrity, which includes governance and institutional identity.
