Universal Kriging Interpolator for Satellite-derived Global Data
This paper explores the use of universal Kriging to interpolate sparsely-sampled satellite-based atmospheric data for global display. The background for Kriging is discussed, the base algorithm is developed, the justification for the use of Kriging to interpolate global data is discussed, and ongoing Matlab optimizations are explored.
