UPCM-EQF: a theoretical framework for climate-responsive energy and comfort optimization using phase change materials

open access: yesEnergy Conversion and Management: X
Phase Change Materials (PCMs) are widely recognized for reducing HVAC energy loads and enhancing indoor comfort, yet their effectiveness remains highly climate-dependent and difficult to generalize.

Future Changes in Human-Biometeorological Index Classes in Three Regions of Luxembourg, Western-Central Europe

open access: yesAdvances in Meteorology, 2015
Projected climate change will cause increasing air temperatures affecting human thermal comfort. In the highly populated areas of Western-Central Europe a large population will be exposed to these changes.

Solvent‐Free Manufacturing of Multifunctional Gas Diffusion Electrode Architectures for Enhanced CO2 Conversion From Low‐Concentration Streams

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A tandem gas diffusion electrode (GDE) leveraging hierarchically engineered microgranules enables efficient CO2 electroreduction under dilute CO2 conditions. A key innovation lies in the solvent‐free precision assembly of metal–organic‐frameworks, carbon nanotubes, and copper nanoparticles.

A Universal Interfacial Dipole Strategy for Defect Suppression in Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells With Tunable Bandgaps

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 2D heterointerface with a two‐site anchor bridge suppresses nonradiative recombination at the perovskite/C₆₀ interface by reducing surface defects, elevating the Fermi level, and strengthening the electric field. This strategy enables efficient electron extraction, delivering 26.32% efficiency, 1.217 V Voc, excellent operational stability, and broad ...

Anti‐Slip Material‐Based Strategies and Approaches

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review highlights the principle mechanisms of slipping at the microscale, linking contact mechanics with a friction behavior model for surface interfaces. Main strategies to develop anti‐slip properties to the surfaces are discussed alongside standardized testing approaches.
