Strange particle production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=0.9$ TeV with ALICE at the LHC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The production of mesons containing strange quarks (K$^0_s$, $\phi$) and both singly and doubly strange baryons ($\Lambda$, Anti-$\Lambda$, and $\Xi$+Anti-$\Xi$) are measured at central rapidity in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 0.9 TeV with the ALICE ...

On sign-changeable interaction in FLRW cosmology

open access: yes, 2019
We investigate an interacting two-fluid model in a spatially flat Friedmann-Lema\^itre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) Universe, when the energy transfer between these two dark components is produced by a factorisable nonlinear sign-changeable interaction ...

Measurements of the electron and muon inclusive cross-sections in proton–proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This Letter presents measurements of the differential cross-sections for inclusive electron and muon production in proton–proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of √s = 7 TeV, using data collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC.

Bayesian Optimization Guiding the Experimental Mapping of the Pareto Front of Mechanical and Flame‐Retardant Properties in Polyamide Nanocomposites

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Bayesian optimization enabled the design of PA56 system with just 8 wt% additives, achieving limiting oxygen index 30.5%, tensile strength 80.9 MPa, and UL‐94 V‐0 rating. Without prior knowledge, the algorithm uncovered synergistic effects between aluminum diethyl‐phosphinate and nanoclay.
