The Density of Liquid FeO and the Oxygen Contents of the Cores of Earth and Mars

Abstract Oxygen is a possible light element in the cores of Earth and Mars. Its effect on the density and elastic properties of liquid iron is, therefore, important for estimating its abundance in planetary cores, from which conditions of core‐mantle equilibration could be constrained.
