Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis: A Rare Contemporary Case After a Decade of Declining Incidence

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF) is a rare fibrosing disorder associated with exposure to gadolinium‐based contrast agents in patients with renal impairment. Although its incidence has markedly declined since the restriction of high‐risk linear gadolinium agents, sporadic cases may still occur.

LC‐OCT Features in Vitiligo: A Preliminary Report

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Vitiligo is a chronic depigmenting disorder characterized by the selective loss of melanocytes, leading to the progressive development of hypopigmented macules and patches. Line‐field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC‐OCT) is a novel imaging technique that combines the advantages of optical coherence tomography (OCT) and ...

Functional alignment in robotic total knee arthroplasty provides favourable outcomes and minimal early revisions: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Functional alignment (FA) has emerged as a personalised alignment strategy in total knee arthroplasty (TKA), enabled by robotic‐assisted technology. Although early clinical results are encouraging, evidence remains heterogeneous and long‐term safety is uncertain.

Targeting ligament boundaries rather than alignment boundaries in augmented‐reality‐assisted total knee arthroplasty ensures comparable gait patterns between operated and contralateral limbs

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Modern personalised total knee arthroplasty (TKA) techniques aim to mimic natural knee kinematics by focusing on soft‐tissue dynamics rather than static alignment. However, a consistent definition of the optimal ligamentous balance has not yet been established.

From patient notes to prognostication: The revolutionary potential of event‐based foundation models in orthopaedics

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract The integration of artificial intelligence (AI)‐equipped tools into electronic health record (EHR) platforms may drive the evolution of orthopaedic diagnosis and decision‐making, leveraging big data to generate precise and context‐aware insights.
