Ghrelin Drives Food Intake by Attentional Bias Toward Food Cues

Fasting and ghrelin enhanced engagement with food‐predictive cues in a home‐cage FED3 task, increasing correct and premature responses while reducing omissions. However, ghrelin preferentially increased food intake when food availability was signaled by a predictive cue, whereas fasting increased intake regardless of cue context.
