The kinase SRPK1 directly interacts with the protein TOPBP1 and regulates the pre‐mRNA splicing of WIZ thereby contributing to the activation of the ATR/CHK1 replicative checkpoint in response to replicative stress. This allows cancer cells' genomic stability and survival.

Photogenic Guided Image-to-Image Translation With Single Encoder
Image-to-image translation involves combining content and style from different images to generate new images. This technology is particularly valuable for exploring artistic aspects, such as how artists from different eras would depict scenes.

Reprogramming tumor cells with LCOR mRNA nanotherapy to enhance immunotherapy
LCOR (Ligand‐dependent corepressor) mRNA encapsulated in polymeric nanoparticles restores LCOR activity in tumor cells, constraining aggressive tumor cell states and increasing tumor immunogenicity. This reprogramming makes tumor cells more vulnerable to T‐cell attack and enhances their response to immune‐checkpoint immunotherapy.

MS-GAN: Learn to Memorize Scene for Unpaired SAR-to-Optical Image Translation
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and optical sensing are two important means of Earth observation. SAR-to-optical image translation (S2OIT) can integrate the advantages of both and assist SAR image interpretation under all-day and all-weather conditions ...

USP7 inhibits FOXO1 activity in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells enhancing cell survival
CLL cells rely on BCR‐mediated signalling for survival and proliferation in part through suppression of FOXO1. FOXO1 activity is regulated by a plethora of post‐translational modifications including phosphorylation and ubiquitination. We demonstrated that dual inhibition of BCR signalling and the deubiquitinase USP7 activates FOXO1, modulating its ...

Background-focused contrastive learning for unpaired image-to-image translation
Contrastive learning for unpaired image-to-image translation (CUT) aims to learn a mapping from source to target domain with an unpaired dataset, which combines contrastive loss to maximize the mutual information between real and generated images. However, the existing CUT-based methods exhibit unsatisfactory visual quality due to the wrong locating of

Cisplatin‐resistant cancer cells survive DNA‐damaging platinum‐based treatment yet remain sensitive to CuET‐induced proteotoxic stress. The distinct mechanism of action allows CuET to overcome and eliminate cisplatin‐resistant tumour cells, unless highly expressed metallothioneins (MTs) interfere with CuET, thereby highlighting MT levels as candidate ...

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.

Unpaired Image-to-Image Translation for Segmentation and Signal Unmixing
Abstract This work introduces Ui2i, a novel model for unpaired image-to-image translation, trained on content-wise unpaired datasets to enable style transfer across domains while preserving content. Building on CycleGAN, Ui2i incorporates key modifications to better disentangle content and style features, and preserve content integrity.
