Robust model predictive control using the Unscented Transformation

2006 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications, 2006
This paper presents a new approach for robust open-loop and closed-loop control of nonlinear processes with parameter uncertainties and a comparison with classical concepts. The approach leads to trajectories that show small variations if uncertain parameters and uncertain initial conditions are present.

Unscented transformation for depth from motion-blur in videos

2010 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition - Workshops, 2010
In images and videos of a 3D scene, blur due to camera shake can be a source of depth information. Our objective is to find the shape of the scene from its motion-blurred observations without having to restore the original image. In this paper, we pose depth recovery as a recursive state estimation problem.

Application of Conjugate Unscented Transform in source parameters estimation

2013 American Control Conference, 2013
A polynomial chaos based minimum variance method is introduced to solve inverse problems. Two different set of quadrature points, Conjugate Unscented Transform and Gauss Legendre quadrature points, are being used to perform the estimation process. The main concentration of this paper is to show the efficiency of Conjugate Unscented Transform points ...

Impact of Transformer Correlations in State Estimation Using the Unscented Transformation

IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2014
This paper addresses the power system state estimation problem considering the correlations among instrument transformer signals. The correlations among processed measurements are estimated using the Unscented Transformation given the correlation and basic statistical information of internal measurements.

A transformation-based derivation of the Kalman filter and an extensive unscented transform

2009 IEEE/SP 15th Workshop on Statistical Signal Processing, 2009
In the unscented Kalman filter (UKF), the state vector is typically augmented with process and measurement noise in order to approximate the joint predictive distribution of state and observation. For that, the unscented transform is used. As its point selection mechanism changes the higher order moments between the random variables, statistical ...
