Adapted continuous unitary transformation to treat systems with quasiparticles of finite lifetime
An improved generator for continuous unitary transformations is introduced to describe systems with unstable quasiparticles. Its general properties are derived and discussed.

A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of the Recurrence of Autoimmune Encephalitis
ABSTRACT Objective Autoimmune encephalitis (AE) is a disease with a potential for recurrence, and patients receive immunotherapy to prevent it. However, there is no consensus on the duration of immunotherapy. This study aimed to determine the recurrence rate and identify the risk factors for AE to provide guidance on the duration of immunotherapy ...

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Stability, instability and complex behavior in macrodynamic models with policy lag
We construct simple macrodynamic models with policy lag by means of mixed difference and differential equations, and study how lags in policy response affect the macroeconomic (in)stability. Local dynamics of the prototype model are studied analytically,

Objective We investigated whether a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) affects the quality of inpatient acute myocardial infarction (AMI) care and long‐term mortality post‐AMI. Methods We analyzed data from 784,091 adults, 6,047 with a diagnosis of RA, from England and Wales hospitalized with AMI between 2005 and 2019 from the Myocardial Ischaemia ...

Addressing Economic Insecurities Can Improve Patient‐Reported Outcomes in Lupus
Objective Economic insecurities, such as food, housing, transportation, and financial challenges, are modifiable risk factors and influence patient‐reported outcomes (PROs) in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). We examined the following: (1) associations between economic insecurities and PROs, and (2) the impact of screening and addressing economic ...

A fundamental study of dynamic behavior of vehicles with unstable region under force control
The primary method of improving steering dynamic response performance is expected to involve position control. However the driver uses not only the position of the steering wheel but also torque for control.

We study the dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates flowing in optical lattices on the basis of quantum field theory. For such a system, a Bose-Einstein condensate shows a unstable behavior which is called the dynamical instability. The unstable system is

A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...
