Exchange rate regimes and trade [PDF]

open access: yes
A ‘new version’ gravity model, is used to estimate the effect of a full range of de facto exchange rate regimes, as classified by Reinhart and Rogoff (2004), on bilateral trade. The results indicate that, while participation in a common currency union is

Management of Exchange Rate Regimes in Emerging Asia [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper revisits the issue of exchange rate regimes in emerging Asia. It is divided into two main parts. The first part compares de jure and de facto exchange rate regimes in Asia over the decade 1999–2009.

Blending With Insulating Polymers Enables Stable Anti‐Ambipolar Characteristics in n‐Type Organic Mixed‐Conductors for Heterogeneous Spiking Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A polymer blend of n‐type OMIEC P(gNDI‐gT2) with insulating PMMA yields mechanically stabilized, anti‐ambipolar organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) with tunable ionic‐electronic transport. This blending allows low‐power, fast‐spiking heterogeneous Hodgkin–Huxley neurons, enabling biomimetic frequency deconvolution and reservoir computing, which

Tracking periodic patterns into spatiotemporal chaotic regimes

open access: yes, 1997
We show that unstable periodic solutions of spatially extended 2D systems, when weakly perturbed, can be stabilized by local feedback without spatial coupling.

From Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR) to Intrinsic Water Vapor Permeability (WVP)

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Breathable membranes can appear less permeable when the measurement apparatus limits vapor transport. A calibrated four‐step model describes membrane permeation and apparatus effects as resistances in series under a common chemical‐potential driving force.
