Balance Disorders in Young and Middle‐Aged Adults: NHANES, 2001–2004 and 2021–2023
This study presents nationally‐representative estimates from two health exam surveys, NHANES 2001–2004 and 2021–2023. In the two decades between test periods, scores on the modified Romberg screening test for balance function demonstrated significantly better age‐specific performance in 2021–2023.

Abstract Tailwaters are ubiquitous and highly managed ecosystems whose food webs often rely disproportionately on autochthonous energy. In situ continuous dissolved oxygen data are increasingly being used to estimate gross primary productivity and ecosystem respiration in rivers, but this approach is complicated in tailwaters, where upriver ...

Voice and Speech in Atypical Parkinsonian Disorders
Background Motor speech disorders are early, common, and functionally limiting features of atypical parkinsonian disorders (APDs) such as progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), corticobasal syndrome (CBS), and multiple system atrophy (MSA). These impairments are underrecognized and undertreated in neurology clinics.

Force decomposition in 3D unsteady aerodynamics
Currently, the aerodynamic effects produced in flapping flight are not understood completely. Even though, there are methods to compute the forces acting on three dimensional wings or two dimensional airfoils such as direct numerical simulations, they are to expensive in computational time and fail to give any insight into the actual mechanics of the ...
