Unsteady flow effects on droplets and spheres : breakup and unsteady flow topology

This thesis presents a set of experimental studies proposed to study the phenomena of droplet breakup and the unsteady flow topology and dynamics of a sphere. In particular, droplet breakup will be studied when exposed to the flow of an approaching airfoil in the environment of the stagnation line.
