Enhancing Wi-Fi 6 spectrum access control with a heuristic OFDMA back-off mechanism

open access: yesResults in Engineering
The IEEE 802.11ax standard, known as Wi-Fi 6, employs a centralized, multiuser, uplink Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA)-based Random Access (UORA) mechanism to improve user efficiency and network capacity in dense environments. In Wi-

UORA: Uniform Orthogonal Reinitialization Adaptation in Parameter Efficient Fine-Tuning of Large Models

open access: yesProceedings of the 63rd Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics (Volume 1: Long Papers)
This paper introduces Uniform Orthogonal Reinitialization Adaptation (UORA), a novel parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) approach for Large Language Models (LLMs). UORA achieves state-of-the-art performance and parameter efficiency by leveraging a low-rank approximation method to reduce the number of trainable parameters.

Examining social media communication about childhood vaccination: An analysis using questionanswer data from Quora

open access: yesProceedings of the Association for Information Science and Technology, 2020
AbstractIn this project, we conducted a quasi‐experimental study to demonstrate the effects of “answerer's profession (IV1)” and “factual arguments in the answer (IV2) on the “user's promotion for healthcare answers (DV)”. The data was collected from Quora based on a question about childhood vaccination.

Vulnerability analysis of urban old residential areas for stock renewal: an unascertained measure theory approach

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal
The renovation of urban old residential areas (UORA) is a crucial measure in urban stock renewal for improving the quality of residents’ lives. Scientifically understanding the multidimensional vulnerability of UORA is a prerequisite for implementing ...

Mogućnosti provedbe fl uoridacije zuba s obzirom na koncentraciju fl uora u vodi za piće Primorsko-goranske županije

open access: yesPaediatria Croatica, 2014

Evaluating UORA-Based Polling Mechanism for Latency-Sensitive Uplink Traffic in Wi-Fi Networks

open access: yes
IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) introduced Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA), which enables simultaneous transmissions through centralized resource allocation. However, effective uplink scheduling requires the Access Point (AP) to identify which stations (STAs) have data to transmit.
