This picture illustrates a novel aptamer‐based colorimetric assay, which demonstrates that high sensitivity, selectivity, and reliability for the rapid detection of cadmium ions (Cd2+) in water. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations have revealed that the complexes are more stable, with Cd2+ binding more tightly to the thymine (T) within the aptamer loop.

This study presents the synthesis of NaYF4: Er3+/Yb3+ upconversion luminescent nanomaterials using a wet chemistry method. The role of oleic acid in influencing the size, shape, and luminescent properties of the materials was also investigated.

Donor–acceptor Stenhouse aDdducts (DASAs) are known for their photoinduced tautomerization, which, when conjugated to block copolymers, can self‐assemble into tuneable polymersomes. These DASA‐polymersomes are being investigated for light‐controlled cargo release in biomedical applications.
