Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Positive Solutions of Sturm‐Liouville Boundary Value Problems in Presence of Upper and Lower Solutions [PDF]

We consider a kind of Sturm‐Liouville boundary value problems. Using variational techniques combined with the methods of upper‐lower solutions, the existence of at least one positive solution is established. Moreover, the upper solution and the lower solution are presented.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
