Mitochondrial genomes of Poecilochirus mites reveal a paraphyletic genus and uncover deep cryptic speciation within the P. carabi complex. Two divergent lineages (BJ1 and BJ2) show a cox1 genetic distance of 0.409 and an Eocene divergence time of ~52.4 million years ago, predating the split between two morphologically recognized species.

ABSTRACT Glaciokarst landscapes pose distinctive challenges for cosmogenic dating because meltwater and runoff can be rapidly rerouted into ponors and conduit networks, weakening glacier–river coupling and promoting local sediment storage. We reconstruct glacier retreat and postglacial stabilization on the Snežnik Plateau (SW Slovenia) using in situ ...

ABSTRACT Marine isotope substage 11c (~426–366 ka) is widely regarded as the most recent Pleistocene interglacial that is broadly analogous to the Holocene. The timing and magnitude of sea‐level changes during MIS 11 have been much debated, particularly concerning whether sea levels were significantly higher than during the Holocene. Empirical evidence

ABSTRACT The Laurentide Ice Sheet covered vast areas of North America during the Wisconsinan, including the Labrador Shelf, off the coast of eastern Canada. The shelf is characterized by glacial cross‐shelf troughs, which have been considered as predominantly eroded by the last ice advance.

Seasonal and Spatial Variability of Silicon Cycle in Godavari Tidal River Zone
Abstract Dam regulation of tropical monsoonal rivers enhances seasonal contrasts in the tidal river zone (TRZ) hydrology, altering the delivery of dissolved silicon (DSi) to the coastal ocean. Here, we identify the drivers of Si cycling in the Godavari TRZ and quantify their implications for Si delivery to the Bay of Bengal (BoB). We analyzed elemental

Full‐Waveform Seismic Tomography of the Upper Mantle Beneath the Arabia‐Eurasia Collision Zone
Abstract Despite being one of the most recent major orogenic events, the timing of the Arabia‐Eurasia collision is still debated. Much of the discrepancy arises due to uncertainties over the amount of continental subduction of the Arabian passive margin and the timing of a hard collision of cratonic Arabian lithosphere with Eurasia.

Abstract Seismogenic faults shape continental landscapes, drive crustal deformation and influence fluid exchange between the lithosphere and atmosphere. Yet, quantitative links between fault activity, exhumation and near‐surface environmental evolution remain poorly understood. Here, structural (meso‐ and micro‐scale) investigations are integrated with

Apatite as a Proxy for Reconstructing Magma Mixing Histories in Granitoids
Abstract Apatite is a common accessory mineral in granites and mafic microgranular enclaves (MMEs), and its textural and compositional characteristics can record dynamic magmatic evolution processes. Apatites from the Early Cretaceous Sanguliu granite and its MMEs in the Liaodong Peninsula exhibit pronounced compositional heterogeneities. In this study,

Upper Cretaceous Shoreline in Utah
Geological Society of America Bulletin, 1926Introduction It is the purpose of this paper to record briefly stratigraphic data collected in 1924 and 1925 along the western margin of the Wasatch Plateau ; to correlate it with data previously recorded for the other regions to the south and north; and to interpret on the basis of the correlation the probable position of the Upper Cretaceous ...
