Cross-Sectional Anatomy of the Upper Limb
2022In this chapter, key structures of the upper limb will be examined. Different windows of the same slices may be compared to highlight structures. The aim is to introduce radiographers to structures under routine investigation of the head in a healthy patient and for students to become familiar with relationships between commonly imaged structures ...

Upper-body testing of cross-country skiers
Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, 1995The purpose of this study was to evaluate maximal oxygen uptake during treadmill running and double-poling with a ski ergometer twice during the competitive season. A progressive double-poling power test was also performed to measure maximal power output. The athletes were five male and five female cross-country ski racers. Testing was done in December

Upper-crossed syndrome and disability in shoulder adhesive capsulitis
Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, 2023Cross-sectional analytical study.Adhesive capsulitis (AC) is a long-standing condition with varying extents of disability seen among patients. The role of postural manifestations and contractile tissue involvement in this condition is poorly understood and yet to be explored. This study aimed to analyze if individuals with adhesive capsulitis ...

An Upper Bound on the Zero-Crossing Distribution*
Bell System Technical Journal, 1968Let Q(T) equal the probability that a random process, x(t), does not cross the zero axis in a given interval of length T. A family of upper bounds for Q(T) is derived with only weak restrictions imposed on x(t) and it is shown that for gaussian random processes only one member of the family provides useful formulae.

Upper bound on total cross sections
Letters in Mathematical Physics, 1977It is shown, under certain assumptions, that if the Nth derivative of the absorptive part of an elastic scattering amplitude exists in the interval t1≤t≤0, then, the total cross section has the asymptotic upper bound \({}_{\sigma T}(S) < s^{1/(N + 1)} \)
