Tantal-Niobium Minerals of the Upper Riphean Fedotovskaya Suite (the Middle Urals)

open access: diamondВестник Пермского университета. Геология, 2019
The petrographic peculiarities of the Fedotovskaya Suite of the Upper Riphean in the western slope of the Middle Urals are considered. The mineral varieties of tantal-niobium components (ilmenorutile, tantalorutile, yttrocolumbite, polycrase) and geochemical regularities in distribution of niobium concentrations in well sections are described.

Proterozoic and early Cambrian protists: evidence for accelerating evolutionary tempo. [PDF]

open access: yesProc Natl Acad Sci U S A, 1994
In rocks of late Paleoproterozoic and Mesoproterozoic age (ca. 1700-1000 million years ago), probable eukaryotic microfossils are widespread and well preserved, but assemblage and global diversities are low and turnover is slow.

Lithogeochemical characteristics and sedimentary environments of the Uk Formation limestones (upper Riphean, Southern Urals)

open access: bronzeLithology and Mineral Resources
The lithogeochemical characteristics of the Uk Formation limestones (Uppermost Unit of the Riphean stratotype section in the Southern Urals) are considered. Data points of limestones (40 samples) accumulated in the middle and inner ramp environments have a quite contrasting distribution on diagrams with parameters (La/Sm)sh, (La/Yb)sh and (Sm/Yb)sh ...

Lithological indicators of storm sedimentation in the deposits of the BederyshSubformation of the Upper Riphean Zilmerdak Formation, Southern Urals

open access: hybridGeologicheskii vestnik
In the section of Upper Riphean deposits along the Chernaya River, located on the southern outskirts of the Minyar town in the Chelyabinsk region, in the sandstones of the Bederysh Subformation of the Zilmerdak Formation, located in the form of interlayers among the thickness of argillites and siltstones, unusual incised bodies of various shapes were ...

Upper riphean source rocks of the East European platform Russian part and adjacent folded areas

open access: hybridMoscow University Bulletin Series 4 Geology
The article considers the deposits of the Late Riphean age, which can potentially be considered as oil and gas source deposits on the East European platform and adjacent folded areas. The data on the interlayers of rocks of the Upper Riphean enriched with organic matter are generalized and systematized.

The first paleomagnetic data for the Lemeza and Bederysh subformations of the Upper Riphean Zilmerdak Formation (Southern Urals)

open access: hybridGeologicheskii vestnik
A paleomagnetic study of the rocks of the Lemeza and Bederysh subformations of the Zilmerdak Formation from a section fragment located on the Zilim River in the Bakeevo village area has been carried out. The section is represented by terrigenous, mainly red-colored rocks.
