Evaluation of methods for the analysis of oxygen and carbon dioxide in water, sediment, litter, and soil

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography: Methods, EarlyView.
Abstract Choosing an appropriate analyzer to measure concentrations of oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) during biogeochemical cycling studies can be difficult, considering the range of options available. While several studies examine the abilities of specific analyzers, comparison of multiple analyzers and environmental sample types is lacking.

Clinical Scales and Wearable Sensors in Patients with Essential Tremor Treated with Deep Brain Stimulation

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Deep brain stimulation (DBS) for essential tremor (ET) is commonly evaluated using tremor scales, which capture only snapshot of symptoms and miss daily variability. Wearable sensors enable objective monitoring and may offer complementary information to support clinical decisions.

Prioritizing Modifiable Risk Factors for Cardiovascular Diseases in Adults With Hypertension: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesMed Research, EarlyView.
This study examined the relative contributions of modifiable risk factors to cardiovascular diseases in adults with hypertension. More favorable risk factor profiles were consistently associated with lower risks across all outcomes. Beyond blood pressure, nicotine exposure showed comparatively larger population attributable fractions.

Pulse Programme Considerations for Quantitative NOE Analysis

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Chemistry, EarlyView.
NOESY and ROESY spectra are frequently used to obtain interatomic distances in solution. Here, the performance of six routinely used pulse programmes is evaluated, with the number of quantified correlations and the accuracy of the NOE‐based distances being used as the main assessment criteria. ABSTRACT Accurate NOE/ROE‐based distance determination is a

Patient Communication Outside of Visits: Implications for Remote Monitoring and Digital Care Models in Myasthenia Gravis

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare autoimmune disorder requiring individualized, specialized treatment, yet access to specialized care is limited and documentation fragmented. Several remote monitoring tools have emerged to address this gap, yet their integration into clinical care remains challenging.

Uppsalas gatunamn

open access: yes
I dagens urbana miljöer skapas många nya namn. Namnen länkar samman dåtid med nutid och berättar om en stads utveckling. Vem var Erik Benedicti, som fått ge namn åt en medeltida nu försvunnen gränd? Vad syftar namnet Dragarbrunnsgatan egentligen på? Hur fick Geometriparkensitt namn?
