Abstract Aims Inflammation has been implicated in the pathogenesis of desmoplakin (DSP) cardiomyopathy, and retrospective studies have described abnormal myocardial fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) findings in symptomatic patients eventually diagnosed with DSP cardiomyopathy.

Topical treatment of equine aural plaques with nitric acid and zinc solution
Abstract Background Equine aural plaque caused by equine papilloma viruses is common worldwide and affected horses can show severe clinical signs. Due to its viral aetiology, in some countries affected horses are not allowed to compete. Since lesions persist, showing no spontaneous regression, effective and safe treatment is required.

Abstract Background Treatment with the sodium‐glucose co‐transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor canagliflozin in insulin dysregulated (ID) horses has shown promising results in randomised clinical trials.
