Integrating Image Segmentation and Deep Learning to Improve Radio Frequency Propagation Models

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper proposes a multi‐sensor approach to improve radio frequency (RF) propagation models, which play a key role in the rapidly expanding field of connected vehicle technology. Focusing on the 1‐ to 20‐GHz frequency range, which is critical for both satellite‐to‐vehicle and base station‐to‐vehicle communications, our study introduces a ...

Rounded Monodisperse Fluorescent Nanodiamonds

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Nanodiamond (ND) shape control using rapid molten‐nitrate etching is studied as a scale‐up method for monodispersed rounded particles. Optimal etching condition (567°C for 6 min) yields NDs with atomically stepped surfaces and reduced sp2 content. Compared to angular control, rounded NDs exhibit an increased proportion of luminescent particles (66% vs.

Advance in One‐Pot Synthesis of Polymer‐Coated Nanogold: Au(III)–Monomer Redox Reaction Initiates Radical Polymerization and Produces a Potential Nanotag Platform

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Gold nanoparticles are prepared simultaneously with the formation of a polymer, whose growth is initiated by direct interaction of Au(III) with a vinyl‐type monomer. Nanoparticles produce stable, bioorthogonal SERS signal originating from an isonitrile/carbene‐type functionality covalently anchored to the gold surface.

ENVIRONMENTAL STATECRAFT AND CHANGING ENVIRONMENTAL POLITICS: Chengdu's Ecological Preservation and Eco‐development

open access: yesInternational Journal of Urban and Regional Research, EarlyView.
Abstract This article develops the concept of environmental statecraft to study changing urban environmental politics in China and beyond. Our review of existing conceptions reveals a growing need to account for temporal and geographical complexity. Neoliberal conceptions of eco‐state restructuring are increasingly strained by contemporary geopolitical

Toxicokinetic modelling of the synthetic cannabinoid 5F‐MDMB‐P7AICA and its main metabolite in pigs following pulmonary administration

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims Since their emergence on the drug market, synthetic cannabinoids (SC) are still gaining increasing importance in forensic toxicology. The representatives of the so‐called new psychoactive substances have in common that they have not undergone preclinical safety studies. Hence, knowledge on toxicokinetic (TK) data is sparse.

Speaker Perceptions of Americanisms in Nigerian English

open access: yesJournal of Sociolinguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the perceptions of Americanisms among three generations of Nigerians. While prior research has provided quantitative evidence for American influence in contemporary Nigerian English, the role of language beliefs and ideologies in mediating such changes remains underexplored.

Recent Development in Solar‐to‐Hydrogen Conversion Systems

open access: yesWIREs Energy and Environment, Volume 15, Issue 3, September 2026.
This review compares three solar‐driven hydrogen production methods, photocatalysis (PC), photoelectrochemical cells (PEC), and photovoltaic–electrochemical (PV–EC) systems by examining their mechanisms, materials, stability, and efficiency. Nanocrystal‐based PC catalysts achieved the highest quantum efficiency (94%), while PV–EC and Si nanowire PEC ...
