Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A modeling framework to assess fenceline monitoring and self-reported upset emissions of benzene from multiple oil refineries in Texas

open access: yesAtmospheric Environment: X
Benzene as one type of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) is produced by industrial production processes and/or emitted during upset events caused by man-made or natural accidents.

Kekuatan Puntir Dan Porositas Hasil Sambungan Las Gesek AlMg-Si Dengan Variasi Chamfer Dan Gaya Tekan Akhir [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Friction welding is the most suitable method for joining aluminum alloys. Aluminum alloys have limitations heat to concentrate only in weld area when used arc or gas welding. That causes it is has good thermal conductivity.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Microstructure and micro-electrochemical properties of the heat affected zone in flash butt welded joints of corrosion resistant steel for marine flexible risers

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
In this study, flash butt welding was employed to join 4 mm thick high-strength corrosion-resistant steel. The electrochemical measurements and immersion test in different heat-affected zones (HAZ) with upset allowances of 2 mm and 4 mm were investigated,

Real-time closed-loop simulation and upset evaluation of control systems in harsh electromagnetic environments [PDF]

open access: yes
Digital control systems for applications such as aircraft avionics and multibody systems must maintain adequate control integrity in adverse as well as nominal operating conditions. For example, control systems for advanced aircraft, and especially those

Ultrasonic angle beam standard reflector [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A method that provides an impression profile in a reference standard material utilized in inspecting critically stressed components with pulsed ultrasound is described. A die stamp having an I letter is used to impress the surface of a reference material.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

The Effects of Prehydration on Cement Performance

open access: yes, 2010
This study investigated the effects of cement prehydration on cement’s engineering properties. Anhydrous cement was exposed over a saturated KCl solution to maintain 85% RH, for 7 and 28 days.
