An endemic Aurès chemotype of Salvia balansae emerges as a rich source of luteolin, rosmarinic acid, and other polyphenols with potent antioxidant and NLRP3‐linked anti‐inflammatory activities. Protection against experimental inflammation, favorable enzyme‐modulating properties, and a wide safety margin highlight its promise as a pharmaceutical and ...

Abstract In this study, we present a mix of full‐depth profiles and near‐bottom observations of dissolved 230Th and 232Th from the Adélie Land margin in East Antarctica, a key site of Antarctic Bottom Water (AABW) formation. We show that the distribution of dissolved Th isotopes in this region is governed by a combination of reversible scavenging ...

Brine Pool Microbes Enrich Metalliferous Sediments in Salt Giant Basins
Abstract We report the discovery of an extinct deep‐sea brine pool in the Red Sea's Hume Deep, providing evidence that rift‐shoulder pools are ephemeral on millennial timescales, and that the microbially‐enriched metalliferous deposits produced during the pool's active phase persist into the stratigraphic record.
