Reflections on Comparative Teaching in Public Administration

Drivers of human attitudes towards wolves Canis lupus in Kazakhstan

Abstract Kazakhstan is recognized as a key stronghold for the grey wolf (Canis lupus). Nonetheless, the wolf status and the dynamics of human‐wolf coexistence in the region remain poorly understood. This study aims to fill that gap by exploring current attitudes towards wolves in Kazakhstan and identify the underlying drivers of these attitudes.

Comfort in the canopy: How urban treescapes affect human thermal comfort in a temperate climate

Abstract People living in urban centres are exposed to higher levels of heat stress than those living outside of these areas; this is intensified by the urban heat island effect. Heat stress is a concern for the more vulnerable members of society and can exacerbate many medical conditions; excessive heat increases morbidity and mortality rates.
