Spinel‐Layered Heterostructure Enables Reversible Oxygen Redox in Lithium Manganese Oxide
Lithium‐rich manganese‐based layered oxides (LRMOs) have emerged as promising cathode materials for next‐generation lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs), primarily due to their exceptional capacity originating from oxygen redox chemistry. While Li2MnO3 (LMO) has been conventionally identified as the oxygen redox‐active component in LRMOs, this layered material

Hg(II) quenches the fluorescence of free N, S‐doped carbon nanodots (CNDs), while Cr(VI) quenches selectively the fluorescence of the same CNDs when confined within an aminosilica matrix. The silica matrix acts as a favorable inorganic scaffold for embedding CNDs, thereby enabling selective fluorescence‐based detection of Cr(VI) in the presence of Hg ...

ABSTRACT Chemical facilities storing large volumes of flammable liquids close to residential areas pose severe fire‐and‐explosion hazards that can escalate into disasters. In this study, a tank farm located within Istanbul's city limits is examined to evaluate possible catastrophic scenarios using consequence analysis methods. For this purpose, several

ABSTRACT This paper examines ring trees—a type of culturally modified tree, intentionally created by Australian First Nations Aboriginal peoples by manipulating tree growth to form permanent loops (rings) within the structure. Historically, this site type has been underrepresented and underappreciated by academics and archaeologists.
