Climate‐smart agriculture adoption intensity in a semi‐arid agricultural landscape: drivers and disparities

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Climate‐smart agriculture (CSA) has emerged as a key strategy for enhancing agricultural productivity, strengthening resilience to climate change, and reducing environmental impacts. Understanding the factors that influence farmers' adoption of CSA practices (CSAPs) is essential for designing effective policies and support ...

Linking distribution and return‐on‐investment models to optimize woody management for prairie grouse in Nebraska

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, EarlyView.
We modeled prairie grouse abundance across Nebraska and projected future woody encroachment to estimate population losses. By combining predicted gains from woody treatments with avoided losses and treatment costs, we mapped return on investment to identify areas for woody treatments that maximize benefits to greater prairie‐chickens and sharp‐tailed ...

Unraveling the Spatiotemporal Dynamics and Nonlinear Drivers of Green Transition of Farmland Use in Major Grain‐Producing Areas: A Case Study of Jiangsu Province, China

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Promoting the green transition of farmland use (GTFU) in major grain‐producing areas is essential for ensuring food security and advancing sustainable agricultural development. However, existing studies on GTFU have predominantly relied on static cross‐sectional analyses, with insufficient attention paid to its nonlinear driving mechanisms. To
