About 450 participants with a variety of professional affiliations met for 3 1/2 days to discuss benefits of urban forests, culture and protection, and planning and management, including financing of programs.

Rik De Vreese presented the Guidelines for Urban Forestry prepared by the CLEARING HOUSE project, and the further work on guidance for Urban Nature Planning as part of the UNP+ project. Both projects have been funded by the Horizon Programme by the European Commission.
