Adult Blow Flies Host Diverse Carrion‐Associated Microbiomes

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Zoology, Volume 53, Issue 3, September 2026.
Blow flies (Diptera: Calliphoridae) perform important yet often overlooked roles in ecosystems as decomposers, pollinators and vectors of disease. Modelling Spatial and Temporal Controls on Leaky Wooden Dam Effectiveness for Catchment‐Scale Flood Mitigation in an Upland Catchment

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 19, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Natural Flood Management (NFM) is increasingly adopted as a sustainable strategy for mitigating flood risk. Among these measures, the installation of leaky wooden dams (LWDs) at catchment scale is a widely used intervention aimed at slowing flow and desynchronising runoff peaks between sub‐catchments, thereby reducing flood magnitude.
