Investigation of the existence of city-scale three-dimensional macroscopic fundamental diagrams for bi-modal traffic [PDF]
Recent research has demonstrated that the Macroscopic Fundamental Diagram (MFD) is reliable and practical tool for modeling traffic dynamics and network performance in single-mode (cars only) urban road networks.

SINR and Throughput Scaling in Ultradense Urban Cellular Networks
We consider a dense urban cellular network where the base stations (BSs) are stacked vertically as well as extending infinitely in the horizontal plane, resulting in a greater than two dimensional (2D) deployment.

Chronic oral exposure to microplastics may disrupt gut microbiota homeostasis and intestinal barrier integrity, potentially engaging the gut–brain axis and systemic inflammatory responses. These alterations may be associated with impaired blood–brain barrier function, cerebral microvascular dysfunction, and enhanced endothelial inflammation, pro ...

A Routing Method in Smart Cities Based on Destination Type and Network Traffic Flow [PDF]
The optimal routing will only be possible if the link weights are calculated correctly. Also, the weight of the links should be different based on the type of destination nodes and the traffic flow of each path in the network and should be updated in ...

Microbial synthesis of nanomaterials (NMs) is eco‐friendly, but the screening of microorganisms is limited by inefficient traditional methods (currently only involving∽400 microorganisms/90 NMs). We propose AI framework MicrobeDiscover, integrating a knowledge graph of microbe‐NM interactions.

The changes and continuities in eating patterns are indicative of complex social and environmental change. The transformation from a diet based on products gathered, fished, hunted, planted or even purchased locally for a “supermarket diet”, indicates ...

Thermal cyclotrimerization of nitriles converts interfacial discontinuity in MAF‐stu‐1/PIM‐1 MMMs into a continuity‐enhanced junction. Triazine–Zn2+ coordination between TR‐PIM chains and MAF‐stu‐1, together with hydrogen bonding and π–π stacking, lowers interfacial tension and builds selective CO2 pathways, enabling > 10 000 barrer CO2 permeability ...

On the Perturbation of Self-Organized Urban Street Networks
We investigate urban street networks as a whole within the frameworks of information physics and statistical physics. Urban street networks are envisaged as evolving social systems subject to a Boltzmann-mesoscopic entropy conservation.

To overcome limitations of conventional AI hardware, a light‐voltage dual‐modulating synaptic (LVDS) transistor using an IGZO/InAs quantum dot hybrid structure is proposed. LVDS transistor enables analog summation for Dueling Deep Q‐Networks by independently modulating memory via optical and electrical stimuli.
