Investigation of Persistent Luminescence of Strontium Aluminate in Polymer Films for Passive Daytime Radiative Cooling Application

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Persistent Luminescence of doped SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ formulated in polymer matrices is a promising solution to be integrated in building envelopes for enhancing Passive Daytime Radiative Cooling. ABSTRACT Persistent Luminescent (PersL) materials have found applications in several fields; their integration into passive daytime radiative cooling systems ...

A U‐shaped Microfluidic Platform for Culturing Vascularized Colorectal Cancer Spheroids Reveals Tumor–Endothelial Crosstalk and Invasion‐Associated Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A closed U‐shaped microfluidic platform symmetrically embeds a single, size‐controlled HT29 colorectal cancer spheroid within a GFP‐HUVEC‐laden fibrin matrix. HT29 spheroids are associated with hyper‐branched endothelial network remodeling, while vascularized co‐culture is accompanied by anisotropic protrusive growth and EMT‐like marker changes in the ...

Improving the Robustness of Visual Teach‐and‐Repeat Navigation Using Drift Error Correction and Event‐Based Vision for Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Visual teach‐and‐repeat (VTR) navigation allows robots to learn and follow routes without building a full metric map. We show that navigation accuracy for VTR can be improved by integrating a topological map with error‐drift correction based on stereo vision.

Improving the urban green system and green network through the rehabilitation of railway rust areas

open access: yesActa Universitatis Sapientiae: Agriculture and Environment, 2014
The Industrial Revolution had a negative impact on both the city and the environment. By the second half of the 19th century, the urban erosion of industrial cities cried for direct intervention and curing.
