Pathways to a Sustainable Blue Economy: Exploring Its Barriers in an Emerging Economy

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A sustainable blue economy is primarily intended for responsible consumption of ocean resources, achieving economic growth, and strengthening the overall ecosystem. The roots of the blue economy are embedded in sustainable development, exploiting opportunities for economic welfare and growth, simultaneously focusing on conserving marine health.

Digital Technologies: Description, Classification, and Links to Circular Economy

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Digital technologies (DTs) and circular economy (CE) are currently two topics that are expected to contribute significantly to sustainable development, and digitization is generally considered a key enabler of CE. However, most studies only cover the most known Industry 4.0 technologies, and very limited research detailing how DTs can support ...

The distally anchored connective tissue graft platform for papilla enhancement: A case report

open access: yesClinical Advances in Periodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background As the need for using dental implants to replace single missing teeth grows, so does the demand for greater esthetic results. However, achieving complete interproximal papillae fill in single‐tooth implant restorations remains a challenge. The distally anchored connective tissue platform is a novel soft tissue augmentation technique

Yet, equity‐driven practices in rural

Synthesis of α‐Arylglycosides by Ni‐Photoredox Arylation of Sugars with an Organic Photocatalyst

open access: yesChemCatChem, EarlyView.
Sweet light. A Ni‐photoredox catalytic methodology exploiting a donor‐acceptor cyanoarene allows for the synthesis of C‐aryl glycosides from benzyl protected monosaccharides and aryl bromides. Notably, the α‐C‐aryl glycoside product is preferentially formed with remarkable selectivity (α /β ≥ 10:1 in most cases).

Metallaphotoredox Deoxygenative Arylation of Alcohols: A Viable Strategy for the Synthesis of Tryptamine Derivatives

open access: yesChemCatChem, EarlyView.
We report a metallaphotoredox catalytic approach that enabled the synthesis of tryptamine derivatives by C3 alkylation of substituted N‐protected indoles, demonstrating the feasibility of the use of unstable primary radicals in combination with light sensitive indoles.
