ROAD: Reality Oriented Adaptation for Semantic Segmentation of Urban Scenes
Exploiting synthetic data to learn deep models has attracted increasing attention in recent years. However, the intrinsic domain difference between synthetic and real images usually causes a significant performance drop when applying the learned model to

ABSTRACT In Australia, governments fund Community Legal Centres (CLCs) as part of the legal assistance sector (LAS) to meet the ‘legal needs’ of people experiencing disadvantage who cannot afford private legal services. Persistent unmet demand for CLCs is well‐documented. As artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly used in private legal practice to

The village and the city: a diagnostic study of the spatial embedding patterns in villages absorbed by cities in Bahrain [PDF]
During the growth of cities villages are frequently absorbed into the fabric of that conurbation. But what are the consequences of this? To what extent and how well do these villages become part of the overall fabric of the city?

Second-best Congestion Pricing Schemes in the Monocentric City [PDF]
This paper considers second-best congestion pricing in the monocentric city, with endogenous residential density and endogenous labour supply. A spatial general equilibrium model is developed that allows consideration of the three-way interactions ...

Selective Sequestration of Toxic NOx Gases by P‐Doped Graphene: A Density Functional Theory Study
P‐doped graphene (P‐grap) is explored as an NOx sensor through DFT simulations. The analysis of its geometry, binding energies, electronic properties, and atom‐in‐molecule characteristics demonstrates that P‐grap is a selective sensor for NOx among a mixture of various gases.

Urban spatial structure and economic growth in Spanish metropolitan areas [PDF]
There is a large literature on the existence of agglomeration economies, as shown in the surveys by Moomaw (1983) or Gerking (1993). The benefits of these economies arise from multiple sources, but some negative externalities might also emerge.

Abstract The complex evolutionary history behind modern mammalian chewing performance and hearing function is a result of several changes in the entire skeletomuscular system of the skull and lower jaw. Lately, exciting multifunctional 3D analytical methods and kinematic simulations of feeding functions in both modern and fossil mammals and their ...
