Meter‐Scale Ultra‐Large‐Area Flexible Electroluminescent Devices Enabled by Aerosol Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a simple aerosol spraying method using modified luminescent ink to fabricate meter‐scale flexible alternating current electroluminescent (ACEL) devices. Enhanced particle dispersibility and film uniformity yield impressive brightness up to 500 cd m−2, positioning these devices as effective luminous navigation signs for industrial ...

Using firm demographic microsimulation to evaluate land use and transport scenario evaluation - model calibration [PDF]

open access: yes
Existing integrated land use transport interaction models simulate the level of employment in (aggregated) zones and lack the individual firm as a decision making unit. This research tries to improve the behavioural foundation of these models by applying

Reducing Urban Pollution Exposure from Road Transport(RUPERT) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This paper presents the preliminary results of a two-year study on reducing urban pollution exposure from road transport (RUPERT). The main aim of this project is to develop a new modelling framework for nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide and particulate

Understanding the Interplay Between Thermal Activation, Diffusion, and Phase Segregation of Molecular Dopants Blended with Polymeric Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The use of air stable but thermally labile molecules provides an efficient strategy for the N‐type doping of organic semiconductors with relatively low electron affinities. Design criteria for efficient dopants should also take into account diffusion and phase segregation that cannot be decoupled from thermally activated doping.

Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.

Changes in Alcohol Retail Laws and Foot Traffic at Liquor Stores

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We study how expanding alcohol availability at grocery and convenience stores affects consumer traffic in liquor stores by leveraging recent changes in state‐level alcohol distribution laws in a difference‐in‐difference quasi‐experimental design.
