Для снижения токсичности древесностружечных плит применяют карбамидоформальдегидные смолы с низким мольным соотношением формальдегида и карбамида - 1,0 и менее. Плиты на основе этих смол имеют пониженную прочность и водостойкость и увеличенное время прессования. Указанные недостатки объясняются особенностями новых смол.
