Palmitoylated proteins in Ureaplasma urealyticum [PDF]

open access: yesInfection and Immunity, 1991
After incubation of Ureaplasma urealyticum serotype 8 in the presence of 3H-labeled palmitic acid, about 25 acylated proteins were detected by electrophoresis and fluorography. Of these, at least six were shown to be antigenic by immunoprecipitation of solubilized palmitate-labeled cells with a homologous polyclonal serum.

Co-factor Ureaplasma urealyticum [PDF]

open access: yesDeutsches Ärzteblatt international, 2016
It is gratifying that at least also Mycoplasma genitalium and Ureaplasma urealyticum are cited as causative agents of urethritis (1). In my opinion, especially U. ureal is underrated as a (co-) agent of urethritis. In 40 years of urological practice, this was by far the most frequent pathogen in smears in recurrent urethritis and cystitis.
