Little is known of the exact aetiology of traumatic stricture of the urethra, but the first clinical presentation can be delayed many years after the trauma. Diagnosis can be made on clinical grounds alone and the passage of a catheter is condemned as clinically misleading and surgically dangerous.

Accessory urethra or duplication of the urethra is a rare anomaly. The vast majority occur in the sagittal plane; however, collateral or side-by-side duplications in the absence of bladder duplication also exist. We report six cases of urethral duplications. The mode of presentation and the importance of complete examination are discussed.

Urethral cancer is a rare disease which may occur at any age but is observed more often during the seventh decade. It is usually considered more common in females, but a recent study shows in the United States an annual age-adjusted incidence rate of 4.3 per million men and 1.5 per million women. The incidence is higher in African Americans.

Unlike most other cases of genitourinary malacoplakia, which are associated with chronic urinary tract infection, this patient had sterile urine and no history ...

Histologic results suggested the diagnosis of extramedullary mature plasmocytoma. After external beam radiotherapy with a total dose of 45 Gy the patient is disease-free ...

Ten patients with patent urethral duplication are presented. Nine patients had two independent patient channels originating from the bladder or the posterior urethra. Both voiding cystourethro and retrograde urethrography are necessary to completely evaluate this anomaly.
