MR Imaging of Urinary Bladder Neoplasms
Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 1988The diagnostic potential of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging at 1.5 T for assessment and staging of urinary bladder tumors was investigated in 10 patients with malignant urinary bladder tumors. All patients underwent complete pathologic staging. The appearance of the urinary bladder tumors and the ability to stage them by means of MR imaging was ...

Neoplasms of the Canine Urinary Bladder
Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 1975SUMMARY Evaluation of histologic data obtained from 90 breeds of dogs with 3,837 neoplasms collected over 10 years (1961-1971) revealed 21 cases of urinary bladder neoplasia in 14 breeds of dogs. There was no breed predisposition. The mean age of dogs with urinary bladder neoplasia was 9.5 years; 6 were males, 13 were females, and 2 were spayed females.

Abscess of Urachal Remnant Mimicking Urinary Bladder Neoplasm
British Journal of Urology, 1992Summary— Three cases of urachal abscess with extensive interstitial inflammation and fibrosis are reported. Clinically, all patients had a lower abdominal mass and CT scan and ultrasonic examination revealed a large tumour located anterior or superior to the bladder.

Nonepithelial neoplasms of the urinary bladder
Virchows Archiv, 2001Nonepithelial tumors are rare in the urinary bladder, but their exact classification is very important in the differential diagnosis between these tumors and epithelial lesions. In the new WHO classification and in the third series of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) "Atlas of Tumor Pathology" on urinary bladder tumors, various ...

Urinary bladder MR imaging. Part II. Neoplasm.
Radiology, 1985The potential of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging for the evaluation and staging of bladder tumors was analyzed in 15 patients (11 cases of transitional cell carcinoma, two adenocarcinomas, one leiomyosarcoma, and one leiomyoma). Neoplasms were characterized by size, site, and growth pattern, and the accuracy of the staging was compared with the results

Up-regulation of glucosylceramide synthase in urinary bladder neoplasms
Urologic Oncology: Seminars and Original Investigations, 2012To investigate the relationships between the clinicopathologic features and the expression of GCS in bladder cancer.Using immunohistochemistry and Western blotting method, 75 bladder cancer specimens were tested for expression of GCS. The correlation of GCS with clinicopathologic features of the patients was analyzed in combination with clinical data ...

Staging of Urinary Bladder Neoplasms with MR Imaging
Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 1991This study was performed to investigate whether intravenous administration of Gd-DTPA can improve the accuracy of MR imaging in the detection and staging of bladder neoplasms. In 68 patients with suspected urinary bladder neoplasms, MR examinations were performed with T1-weighted SE sequences before and after intravenous administration of Gd-DTPA.

Tenascin in inflammatory conditions and neoplasms of the urinary bladder
Virchows Archiv B Cell Pathology Including Molecular Pathology, 1993Tenascin (Tn) is an extracellular matrix (ECM) glycoprotein strongly and widely expressed during embryogenesis. Tn is decreased in normal adult tissues but is reexpressed in numerous inflammatory, reparative and neoplastic processes. We immunostained samples of fetal and normal adult bladders and samples of bladder tissue from patients with chronic ...

Malignant Non-Urothelial Neoplasms of the Urinary Bladder: A Review
European Urology, 2003Non-urothelial bladder tumors frequently present a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. We review the peer-reviewed literature to summarize the available evidence on the etiology, diagnosis and optimal management of malignant non-urothelial bladder tumors.A comprehensive MEDLINE database search was performed.

Contrast-Enhanced MR Imaging of Urinary Bladder Neoplasms
1990Carcinomas of the bladder are the most common malignant tumors of the urinary tract (Zingg 1982). MR imaging has proven effective in evaluating urinary bladder tumors (Beer et al. 1989; Fisher et al. 1985; Koelbel et al. 1988; Kueper et al. 1986; Nicolas et al. 1988).
