The pharmacokinetics of inulin and urea: a comparison of the dose eliminated from a compartmental model and that eliminated in urine

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 1972
Abstract The distribution kinetics of inulin and urea were studied in the male rat to test the validity of a proposed compartmental model. The plasma curves could be adequately described by a biexponential function. For inulin, analysis of the results gave valid parameters in terms of an open two compartment model.

Canagliflozin Alleviates Diabetic Glomerular Endothelial Injury via Melibiose in a Microbiota‐Dependent Manner

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Canagliflozin treatment reshapes the gut microbiota in DKD and elevates levels of melibiose, a metabolite derived from Roseburia intestinalis. Melibiose directly binds to and enhances the enzymatic activity of glyoxalase 1, leading to decreased methylglyoxal accumulation.

Study on the Excretion of a New Antihypertensive Drug 221s (2,9) in Rats

open access: yesPharmaceuticals
Background/Objectives: The novel compound 221s (2,9), derived from danshensu and ACEI-active proline, exhibits antihypertensive effects (50/35 mmHg SBP/DBP reduction in SHRs) with potential cough mitigation.

THE ELIMINATION OF POTASSIUM IODID IN THE URINE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Medical Association, 1915
This work was entirely confined to the study of the urinary elimination of potassium iodid after oral or rectal administration. The patients of the general ward type were given 1 gram of potassium iodid and the urine was subsequently examined to determine the total amount of potassium iodid excreted day after day, until the last traces had disappeared.

Stress History Establishes a Transient Tolerant State That Shapes Antibiotic Survival Upon Resuscitation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High‐throughput single‐cell analysis of resuscitating bacteria reveals a starvation‐history‐dependent transiently tolerant subpopulation that survives β$\beta$‐lactam exposure by temporarily reducing growth. Distinct from classical persisters, these actively growing yet dynamically modulated cells dominate survival across clinically relevant antibiotic

THE ELIMINATION OF ARSPHENAMIN AND NEO-ARSPHENAMIN IN THE URINE [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Dermatology and Syphilology, 1922
The need for a simple, and at the same time accurate, means by which the elimination of arsphenamin and its derivatives can be studied in the urine is apparent. In a paper read before the Section on Dermatology and Syphilology of the Thirteenth International Medical Congress held at London in 1913, Vennin, 1 a French army surgeon, has well stated the ...

The Development and Pilot Clinical Study of CD147 Targeted Antagonistic Peptide Probe for Tumor Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes [68Ga]Ga‐DOTA‐AP9 as a first‐in‐human CD147‐targeted PET tracer with favorable safety and specific tumor uptake. Tracer accumulation correlates with CD147 expression in patients, enabling noninvasive quantification of CD147‐positive malignancies.

TME/NIR Dual‐Responsive Zinc‐Based Targeted Nanoagonist for Multimodal Amplification of STING‐Mediated Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional nanoagonist (cDZ@IP) enables nano‐metabolite–driven multimodal activation of the STING pathway and enhanced immune recognition, achieving potent antitumor immunity and suppressing tumor growth and metastasis. This strategy highlights the rational design of therapeutic metabolites and establishes a new paradigm bridging nanomedicine ...
